Because of the amount of work we have decided to stop posting news in Dutch and English. All updates that are posted in Dutch can be found in English on my Facebook account. Important notices will still be posted here.

Maeva had a tough obedience exam tonight. Tough because we were not allowed to use a reward, which we do still use during the training (and because we didn't know we weren't allowed to use it during the exam). All the exercises were done in succession and we were not allowed to reward in between either. Maev did quite well nevertheless. She shared the highest score with a German Shepherd and belonged to the minority that graduated and is allowed to go to the advance training group. We are very proud of her!
Because of a busy agenda, I've been lacking time to update the English news feed. Please look at the Dutch news feed to see photos of and read about Mirtillo and Aoide competing in agility, on the race track and in the show ring.
These pictures are made by Bernard Schep. More pictures of Aoide at the agility training can be found on my Flickr account.
Last Sunday, during Easter, we had an agility match in Almere. It was extremely cold for an outdoor match, but Mirtillo performed like a pro! We competed in the first grade/A-class medium and started off with the jumping. Mirtillo ended up first in his class and had the second best time of the entire A-class! I'm so proud of him! We DQ'ed on the second course and sadly had to leave early, so we couldn't compete in de last course. Still, it was a more than perfect day! Last Monday was Aoide's obedience exam. We were a bit nervous, because we had skipped training for the last four weeks. Aoide was in season and it is not allowed to go to the training with a bitch in heat. The expectations weren't high, but Aoide did really well! Last Wednesday we got the result and Aoide had the highest score of all the dogs! 99 out of 100 points! We are so very, very proud of her! Mirtillo and I compete in the winter competition together with our training group. Of course we mainly entered to have fun and to gain experience! Our team name is 'G-force Speed Almere'. Last Sunday we had our first match in Nieuwe Wetering. Mirtillo was his stubborn self and decided to run off to explore the course by himself. It got us three DQs. It was our first indoor match, so hopefully that is what caused it ;) Fortunately, the other G-force members performed a lot better! At the end of the day our team was 16th out of 21 teams. The next match will be on December 9th in Bunschoten. Pictures of last Sunday can be found here. Proud Tillo Sunday, August 5, Janneke and Mirtillo had an agility match in Almere. They entered in Debutants Large. Two out of three courses ended in a DQ, because of two small mistakes. Tillo did very well though and was focused from start till finish. One of the three courses was flawless and up tempo, which resulted in a third place out of 43 competitors! Below you find two videos. The pictures can be found at our Flickr account. |
